# Mention teammates in tasks

Mention teammates in task descriptions and comments from the console or employee portal. Each newly mentioned teammate gets an in-app notification, while repeat mentions and the author are left out. 

Mention a teammate in a task description or comment to bring them into the conversation. Newly mentioned members get an in-app notification. The task’s author and people already mentioned are skipped.

The employee portal now has the same member picker as the console, so employees can mention teammates while updating a task there too.
