# prb config command reference

Manage configuration for prb. This page documents **4 commands** under `prb config`.

Flags and examples below come from the command definitions. A **Required** flag is explicitly marked required by Cobra; an unmarked flag can still be needed by runtime validation or a non-interactive workflow. Empty strings and empty lists are registered defaults, not sample values.

Every command also inherits the [global flags](/docs/developers/cli/commands#global-flags). Run `prb <command> --help` to check your installed version. ## prb config

Manage configuration for prb.

### Usage

```text
prb config <command>
```

## prb config get

Print the value of a given configuration key.

### Usage

```text
prb config get <key>
```

Requires 1 positional argument.

### Additional help

```text
Print the value of a given configuration key.

Available keys: editor, browser, pager, prompt, http_timeout
```

### Examples

```bash
# Get the configured editor
prb config get editor

# Get the HTTP timeout
prb config get http_timeout

## prb config list

Print a list of configuration keys and values.

### Usage

```text
prb config list
```

Accepts no positional arguments.

## prb config set

Update configuration with a value for the given key.

### Usage

```text
prb config set <key> <value>
```

Requires 2 positional arguments.

### Additional help

```text

```

### Examples

```bash
# Set the default editor
prb config set editor vim

# Set the HTTP timeout to 60 seconds
prb config set http_timeout 60s

# Disable interactive prompts
prb config set prompt disabled
